1.  Your membership

1.1  We offer memberships for adults (18+), teens (12 to 17) and children (5 to 11). The classes included depend on the membership you choose. Our Unlimited membership covers BJJ, submission grappling, Muay Thai and MMA.

1.2  Your membership starts on the date of your first payment.

1.3  Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred or shared.

2.  Fees and payment

2.1  Membership fees are payable monthly in advance.

2.2  Personal training is booked and charged separately, at the rate we agree with you before the session.

2.3  If a payment fails we will let you know and ask you to bring the account up to date. We may pause access to classes while fees are outstanding.

2.4  We will give you at least 30 days’ notice before changing your fee. If you would rather not continue at the new rate, you can cancel before it takes effect.

3.  Cancelling

3.1  Membership is rolling monthly. There is no minimum term, no notice period and no cancellation fee.

3.2  To cancel, tell us in writing (an email is fine) and cancel the payment with your bank or payment provider. Your membership runs to the end of the period you have already paid for.

3.3  We do not refund part months.

4.  Freezing your membership

4.1  We can freeze a membership for injury, illness, travel or another good reason. Freezes are agreed case by case, so please just ask.

5.  Timetable, closures and the venue

5.1  We may change the timetable, change which instructor takes a class, or close for holidays, maintenance or events. We will give as much notice as we reasonably can.

5.2  The venue has changing rooms, bag storage and seating for parents. There are no showers and no on-site parking.

6.  Health

6.1  Martial arts training is physically demanding and carries a risk of injury. Please make sure you are fit enough to take part, and speak to a doctor first if you are not sure.

6.2  Before training you must tell us about any injury, illness, medical condition, medication, allergy or pregnancy that could affect your safety or anyone else’s, and tell us if anything changes.

6.3  Do not train with an infectious skin condition, an open or weeping wound, or any other infection that could be passed to a training partner. Cover minor cuts and grazes.

6.4  Stop training and tell an instructor straight away if you feel unwell or think you have been hurt.

7.  On the mats

7.1  Follow the instructor’s directions at all times.

7.2  Tap early, and release immediately when your partner taps. Match your intensity to your partner.

7.3  Come to class clean, with short nails, no jewellery and clean kit, and wear the protective equipment we ask you to wear.

7.4  Treat other members, instructors and visitors with respect. Bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation and violence outside the structure of a class are not tolerated.

7.5  Do not use what you learn here other than in training or in lawful self-defence.

8.  Members under 18

8.1  A parent or guardian must sign the member up, complete the health and consent forms, and give us emergency contact details that are kept up to date.

8.2  A parent or guardian is responsible for drop-off and collection on time, and must stay contactable throughout the class.

8.3  Nothing in these terms affects a child’s own legal rights.

9.  Your belongings

9.1  Please do not bring valuables to the club. We are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property brought to the venue, except where it is caused by our negligence.

10.  Our responsibility to you

10.1  Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Signing a waiver or consent form does not change this.

10.2  Injuries can happen in training without anyone being at fault. Our responsibility is to run sessions with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for injuries that are not caused by a failure to do so.

10.3  We are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you joined.

11.  Suspending or ending a membership

11.1  We may suspend or end a membership if a member behaves in a way that puts others at risk, breaches these terms seriously or repeatedly, or makes the club unsafe or unwelcoming. Where we do, we will refund any unused part of a payment, unless the behaviour was serious enough that we consider it fair not to.

12.  Photography and social media

12.1  We sometimes take photographs and video in class for our website and social media. Tell us if you or your child would rather not appear and we will keep you out of them. You can change your mind at any time.

13.  Your information

13.1  We use your details to run your membership, to contact you and to keep you safe. We do not sell your data. You can ask to see what we hold, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@nosticcombatclub.co.uk.

14.  If something goes wrong

14.1  Speak to CJ, or email hello@nosticcombatclub.co.uk, and we will deal with it.

15.  General

15.1  We may update these terms. If a change affects you materially we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel if you do not accept it.

15.2  These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
